NEWSLETTER NO 19 Spring 2007
The group won the Best Memorial Feature for the Miners' Memorial in the Cemetery of the Year Competition - a black granite tablet. This will be mounted and put next to the Memorial. A £25,000 grant has been obtained for an extension and toilet to the group's building in the cemetery.
NEWSLETTER NO 17 APRIL 2006
Barnsley MBC co-operated with the group in the preparation of their leaflet Memorial safety programmes in Barnsley cemeteries which attempts to explain their 'laying-down' policy. The leaflet invites worried families to contact the Bereavement services for further information.
